“In Jip’s project “Like Mothers, Like Daughters”, she has unpacked the notion of intergenerational trauma in relation to hysteria. Her research on the topic is strong, thorough, and corresponds closely with the project. It is a strong and challenging research project.

Based on her research she has created her own methodology that can be used by other people. She clearly knows what she is talking about and we appreciate the use of photography in combination with her social design practice.

The research and practice are both embodied and original. Her use of photography and her choice to reenact past family photographs as a tool to empathize and (re)engage with each other, are clever.”
